REVERSE ENGINEERING PROJECT
Reverse Engineering is an important process in the documentation and redesign of products. Through reverse engineering all aspects of a product can be analyzed. There are many reasons to reverse engineer a product. The information gathered during this process can provide information on products for which documentation has been lost. Reverse engineering can help the designer or team determine what they can do to make the product better and optimize manufacturing potential to increase company profits. Often, reverse engineering is necessary in order to provide details necessary to provide interoperability between existing and new products or to provide information on competitor products. This activity provides me the opportunity to practice skills learned in previous units by measurement, sketching, and solid modeling the parts of the (REVERSE ENGINEERINGc9). I also had the opportunity to create assembly models and produce an assembly drawing.
Jack Lift Assembly
We perform an interference analysis between the Wedge and Wedge Screw components. In an assembly, two or more components cannot occupy the same space at the same time. To detect such errors, you can analyze assemblies for interference. Where components overlap, interference is temporarily displayed as a solid. You can check for interference among components in a subassembly or selected group of components or between two groups of components.
Automoblox Toy Vehicle Subassemblies
A subassembly is an assembled unit
forming a component to be incorporated into a larger assembly. How is it useful
in the assembly of a complex product that involves multiple parts? By using
subassemblies the designer can use a section for a different toy or to make a
new style of car. For example I can take the T9 front and assemble to the T9
bed to make small toy car.
